Lake Crescent and Elwha River, Nov. 2015 (page 2 of 2) The site of the old Elwha Dam, removed in 2012.
Just upstream of the old dam is an area that was under Lake Aldwell for 100 years. This wagon wheel is pretty well-preserved from before the dam construction, considering its spokes are made of wood.
At the mouth of the Elwha River; a new delta was formed after the removel of the two dams upstream.
